SUMMER / 2020
EXHIBITION
“If life were eternal, its meaning might become less important. Death, ironically, gives life its distinct condition and allows each life to remain precious.”
Postlude, concluding piece of music, is applied to the end of life. Death is spatialized as a state of ‘pause’ within the room, suggesting that it may exist close to us in a form not unlike life
As a response to a shared prompt imagining life after the pandemic, each team developed a project under the title “POST–,” using a 10 × 10 × 10 virtual cubicle to reflect on the direction of our future and the values brought into focus during COVID-19. POST-LUDE interprets the cube as a transitional space between life and death.
